Ford trucks are synonymous with class-leading capability, and the Ford F-250 is a great example. With several cab/bed configs, an impressive engine lineup, and special packages, the Ford F-250's list of capabilities is long and impressive. Our Langlade Ford team in Antigo, WI takes a quick look.

Selectable Drive Modes

The Ford F-250's selectable drive modes are identical to Ford's Goes Over Any Terrain (G.O.A.T.) modes. The modes include Normal/Slippery, Tow/Haul, Eco, and Deep Sand/Snow. When you select a mode, the Ford F-250 adjusts its steering, handling, and powertrain to optimize performance and efficiency.

High-Horsepower Engine Lineup

Powering the Ford F-250 are four V-8 engines, all of them larger than 6.5 liters. The largest is a 430-horsepower 7.3-liter gas engine, a 400-horsepower 6.8-liter coming in second. The remaining two engines are both diesel V-8 engines, both boasting 6.7-liter displacements.

One of the diesel engines is a high-output iteration making 500 horsepower, the regular version makes 475 horsepower. When equipped properly, the Ford F-250 can haul nearly 8,000 pounds and tow up to 40,000 pounds with a gooseneck trailer.
